The water coming from my refrigerator does not taste good. There's no filter to change- any idea?

One thing that you have not touched on is how old is the refrigerator. It sounds like the refrigerator is a older model. Your lines on your refrig are probably plastic. The Chlorine in your water can oxidize these types of lines over time. You may want to see if they can be replaced, this may help. If not you may have to get a water filter for your sink.

ACE hardware has in-line filters you can buy and install. It’s easy and about $25.00. You install in under the sink, from the cut off vavle

We had a problem like that. I bought a braided hose at Lowe’s. Thought it would be a good one. It was the most expensive and had the fitting built onto the ends. Well, it made the water and ice taste bad. Kind of an iodine/chemical taste. I took it back and got the thin milky stuff and it works great. No taste at all. I don’t have a filter on mine either, we have city water and it is good so I don’t see any reason to mess with a filter. Don’t discount the hose as the problem.
