I have a GE Side By Side Refrigerator. Ice Maker is working, but Water Dispenser is not working. Here is what I have done thus far: a) Replaced the water filter with a brand new one b) Decreased the temperature in the fridge
Can you help me to fix the problem without calling a repair person?

The water solenoid to the water dispensor might be shot there is a seprate one for the ice maker and for the water dispenser if u need more help findind it i can find a pictoral of your fridge so you can see
try back washing the water dispense line.
Yeah, back washing the system might help but I suspect it is a problem in the mechanical controls. I’d bet that one of those little neoprene rocker parts broke when someone pushed it weird.
Check it yourself but you’ll need to find parts sooner or later. This could end up taking you a lot of time and, with Christmas coming, it’d be a tough project. I’d call a repairman.
